The two announced 2024 EPT Paris champion and British poker icon Barny Boatman as the freshest member to join the prestigious Pokerstars Team Pro.
The news comes less than three weeks after Boatman scooped up a €1.2 million cash prize in Paris.
PokerStars chief executive officer Kevin Harrington expressed their delight to welcome the player to the PokerStars family, praising his “reputation as one of the most respected and accomplished players in the industry”.
Harrington also expressed confidence that Boatman’s “insights and contributions will be invaluable” for their plans to keep innovating and growing.
In an exclusive interview for PokerNews, PokerStars announced the player would represent the Red Spade during online and live poker events, advertising campaigns as well as a series of educational initiatives with a focus on fostering more engagement and growth at a global level.
The player, who is considered one of the most esteemed UK poker players in history, will next attend the Irish Poker Open. The last time he was there, in 2006, he joined the final table.

Boatman: “It’s An Honor”
Commenting on the excellent news, Boatman said he was “really excited about being involved with PokerStars“.

Boatman boasts a second-place finish in a WSOP bracelet event in 2002, a final table performance at the 2009 Aussie Millions, 13th position in the 2010 WSOP Europe Main Event, a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em bracelet won in 2013, a third-position finish in another $1,500 Limit Hold’em bracelet event in 2015 and another bracelet in an €550 Pot Limit Omaha event in 2015.
