The 2020 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) has just kicked off at PokerStars!
This year’s edition of the prestigious tournament series features over $80 million in guaranteed prize pool, making it the largest ever in the festival’s 18-year history.
The schedule is jam-packed with events suitable for all bankrolls with buy-ins categorized as Low, Medium, and High. The series runs until September 23.
Must-Play Events Which Has $80M In Guarantees
This year’s schedule includes 23 events offering guarantees of at least $1 million. But since you will most likely not play all of them, we will help you narrow your choices down to two events – the $25,000 Super High Roller and the $5,200 Main Event.
WCOOP-25-H: $25,000 Super High Roller is the biggest buy-in event on the schedule which kicks off on September 6. If you cannot afford the actual entry fee, you may take a shot at a series of satellites, the details of which will be announced soon.
Just like any other major festival, the Main Event is easily the cream of the crop. The 2020 WCOOP features a total of six Main Events – three of them played in No-Limit Hold’em format, the other three dedicated to the Pot-Limit Omaha players.
The three NLHE events come in three buy-in tiers, Low ($55), Medium ($530), and High ($5,200), and will get underway on September 20. Players will compete for mouth-watering guarantees beginning at $1.25 million, all the way up to a massive $10 million!
The PLO counterpart features buy-ins of $109, $1,050, and $ 10,300, with guaranteed prize pools amount to $300K, $750K and $1.25 million. The action also gets underway on September 20.
You may also enter the Main Events for a fraction of the price via satellites, so make sure to check out the PokerStars lobby for the complete details.
WCOOP Leaderboards
WCOOP is offering plenty of opportunities for players to boost their winnings, and one of them is by putting in place four leaderboards with $100,000 worth of additional prizes up for grabs!
Each buy-in tier has a corresponding leaderboard which will give away at least $5,000 to the top finishers. The series also includes an overall Player of the Series leaderboard, covering all events, with a cool $25,000 and a custom trophy going to the winner.
WCOOP Promotions
You can also take advantage of other exciting offerings throughout the festival, such as the $1.5 million WCOOP Sweepstakes that will give away Main Event seats, and special WCOOP Spins which will also award WCOOP tickets.
