Summary:
PokerStars is heading to the seaside city of Brighton in England this September for the latest stop of its popular series, the United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT). The action takes place at the Rendezvous Casino from September 5-10, with a total of 16 events to choose from.
As with the previous legs of the series, the 2023 UKIPT Brighton is headlined by the £1,100 buy-in Main Event which kicks off on September 7. The tournament has three Day 1 flights, with the first two featuring 40-minute blinds, and the third adopting a 20-minute turbo structure.
Players start with a 30,000-chip stack with blinds starting at 100/100. The real money poker tournament also features a 100 big blind ante. Players may late-register until the end of Level 10, with a maximum of three re-entries allowed per flight. Each Day 1 flight concludes once the action plays down to just 15% of the field.
Apart from the Main Event, the schedule also includes a £2,200 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller which runs from September 6-7.
The venue will be hosting milestone satellites to both the £1,100 Main Event and the £2,200 High Roller, with buy-ins of £125 and £250 respectively. Satellites to the Main Event run from September 5-8, while satellites to the High Roller are available from September 5-6.
Additionally, there is a freeroll site running on September 9 that will award a seat to a Regional Tour Main Event.
Other key tournaments to be on the lookout for include the £330 No-Limit Hold’em UKIPT Cup (September 9-10), £220 8 Game Mix (September 9), £220 No-Limit Hold’em Bounty (September 10) and £550 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack Freezeout (September 10).
There’s another option for players to secure a seat to the Main Event for a fraction of the price – and that’s via satellites running on PokerStars.
Players may also win their way into the tournament through the Power Path program. For as low as $0.50, they can earn a Silver pass which they can use to enter the UKIPT Brighton Main Event and the £330 UKIPT Cup, with the package also giving them £580 in cash.
Winning a Gold Pass entitles a player to a UKIPT passport which sends them to the Main Events in Brighton, London, Edinburgh, and Nottingham. The Gold Pass also comes with £2,800 in cash.
