2024 Merit Poker Western Series

Northern Cyprus is turning out to be a popular destination for poker players in Europe as it is in close proximity to most European countries and offers them a chance to be in warmer weather in Jan. When you add the 2024 Merit Poker Western Series to the equation, it becomes all the more appealing.

There are a number of exciting poker events set to take place during this week and a half poker tournament. We take a look at three of the most attractive events on the schedule.

$2,200 Warm Up

The 2024 Merit Poker Western Series will welcome players with the $2,200 Warm Up event which has turned out to be a quite popular event as the 2023 edition saw a total of 523 registrations that pushed the prize pool up to $932,620.

This year, it comes with a $800,000 guarantee and don’t be surprised if it ends up hitting a $1 million prize pool. This event takes place from Jan 15 to 19.

$5,300 High Roller

High stakes players will take a seat at the $5,300 high roller event that runs from Jan 18 to 20. The high roller event in 2023 ended up getting 147 registrations and saw the prize pool hit $659,700.

This year it comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000 and is once again highly likely to surpass that guarantee due to the popularity of the event.

$3,300 Main Event

The highlight of the 2024 Merit Poker Western Series will be the Main Event which has a $3,300 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million. The Day 1A for the Main Event will start on Jan 20 and subsequently be followed by Day1B and Day1C.

The Main Event winner will be announced on Jan 25.
