888poker LIVE London Festival Returns To The Vic For 2022

Summary

  • 888poker LIVE London Festival starts Jan 6
  • Buy-ins for different bankrolls
  • Main Event – the details

Poker players in London will be happy to know that the popular 888poker LIVE London Festival will make its return in 2022. The last time the 888poker LIVE London Festival took place was back in 2019.

888poker had to cancel the 888poker LIVE London Festival for the last two years due to concerns over COVID-19. London is still struggling with an outbreak of the new omicron virus but 888poker is pretty confident that it will be able to run a successful live poker tournament in Jan 2022 after completing their Live Weekend Event in October.

888poker LIVE London Festival

888poker LIVE London Festival will take place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino. The poker festival will start on Jan 6 and will run for 12 days and finish on Jan 17. There will be a total of 9 events taking place during these 12 days.

888poker has put together a range of buy-ins for this poker tournament to enable poker players with different bankrolls to take part. If you are looking for the top events, then keep your eye out for the Opening Event which has a buy-in of £444, a High Roller event that has a buy-in for £2,200 and the Main Event which has a buy-in for £888.

Female poker players will be happy to know that there is a special Ladies Event that has a buy-in for £50. Low stakes players should also watch out for the Omaha PLO event which has a £200 buy-in. If you want more information on the full schedule of events, check out the 888poker website.

Main Event – The Details

The highlight of the 888poker LIVE London Festival will be the Main Event. The £888 buy-in might be too high for a lot of players which is why 888poker is running a number of online satellites and live satellite events for the Main Event. These satellite events only have a $109 buy-in and the winner will automatically get a seat to the Main Event. Do note that these qualifiers are only available to players in the UK who will be required to show COVID passes when entering the tournament.

To give you an idea of how much you can win if you take down the Main Event, Adrian Constantin won £100,000 in 2019 when the total prize pool was £512,820 and James Williams won £121,000 in 2018 when the total prize pool was £649,440.
