888poker LIVE To Open in Bucharest From Feb 28 To March 4

After the successful 888poker LIVE London 2018 Kickoff Main Event, 888poker is planning to host its next LIVE event at Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

Scheduled to run from February 28 to March 4, the 888poker LIVE Bucharest festival is to be held at the JW Marriot Bucharest. Featuring nine events with buy-ins ranging from €60 up to €2,200, this festival will have something for everyone.

The LIVE event will kick off with a €230 Opening Event. This has a €50,000 guaranteed prize pool which will be very tempting to many players. It will be immediately followed by the popular €888 Main Event which has a €288,000 guaranteed prize pool.

There will also be a number of other exciting events which includes a €2,200 High Roller, a Bounty Event, a Deepstack format, a Turbo Deepstack, a Ladies Event, a Super Progressive KO tournament and a Hyper Turbo structured event.

The star attraction will be the Main Event with its large prize pool. The eventual winner will not just take home a huge cash prize but will also receive a WSOP Vegas Crazy 888s package. This package is estimated to be around $2,700. The other event that will feature a prize package is the Ladies Event. The winner of the Ladies event will get their hands on an 888poker LIVE Barcelona package which is estimated to be around $1,880.

Though the event is titled the Ladies Event, enterprising gentlemen can also join. However, they are going to have to buy-in at €4,500 for the privilege. If a player is a female though, then only the standard €60 buy-in fee will have to be paid.

Shot Clocks here to stay?

There is an interesting rule twist for the Main Event and the High Roller Event. Both of them will have a 30-second shot clock enforced. This was first seen at the 888poker LIVE London Kickoff and the organizers felt that it was exciting enough to add to the Bucharest festival.

Now, each player in the Main Event and High Roller has only 30 seconds to make their decisions. Players will have an extended time chip that they can use twice a day to get a bit more time for their decisions.

Anyone interested in joining LIVE Bucharest Main Event can join the many satellites running on 888poker. These satellite events have buy-ins starting at $0.01. Players joining them will eventually feed into the $109 buy-in qualifier. Winners of this qualifier will get a $1,700 package to attend the LIVE Main Event. This package includes a seat to the 888poker LIVE Bucharest Main Event, three nights stay at the JW Marriot Bucharest and around $300 in expenses.
