888poker Releases Live Tour Dates For 2018, Kicking off In London

888poker, the second biggest online poker website in the world recently announced its Live poker tour schedule for 2018. The 888poker Live tour will start in February with a tournament in London.

The announcement was made via 888poker’s eMagazine which confirmed that London will be the first leg of the eight-stop festival. The 888poker LIVE 2018 Kickoff will take place at the Aspers Casino in London and run from February 8 to 11.

The four-day poker tournament will have a total of £120,000 in guaranteed prize money. The buy-in to this event is pretty steep and is fixed at £440 but there will be a number of online satellite events held at 888poker to allow poker players who cannot afford the buy-in to qualify.

In a statement, Dominik Nitsche, 888poker ambassador said

There are plenty of satellites online, so you should obviously be looking to take advantage of those. It's always better to get into an event for cheap. If you have qualified and this is your first time playing a major tournament, try to remember that this is still the same game as it is online. Try to play well and most importantly remember that you will probably lose

After the London stop, the 888poker festival will then head to Romania to host the second leg of the tournament at the JW Marriot Hotel in Bucharest. The 888poker Live Bucharest event will be held from February 28 to March 4 and will feature a two-day €220 buy-in Opening Event which guarantees the winner €50,000 in prize money and a travel package to the 888Live Local London which takes place towards the end of the festival. Also included in the Bucharest stop is the huge €888 buy-in Main Event, where the winner will take home €288,000 guaranteed and a WSOP Crazy 8 package.

888poker will once again return to the London for its third stop which takes place again at the Aspers Casino. This will be a WPT500 Easter Event which starts on April 1 and the fourth stop takes place at Casino Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain from May 23 to June 4. The fifth stop will be the 2018 World Series of Poker which takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The sixth stop is in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the seventh back at London’s Aspers Casino and the final stop will be in Lisbon, Portugal.
