Summary
The 2022 XL Winter Series is underway on 888poker having kicked off on January 16. The festival offers $1.5 million in guarantees and runs until the 31st. There are a total of 44 events to choose from, featuring a wide range of buy-ins.
The major events at any online poker festival are usually those that have the biggest buy-ins and not everyone can afford to pay the actual price. This is where satellite tournaments come in. These qualifying events allow players with a limited bankroll to win their way into huge tournaments without risking as much money.
888poker is currently running plenty of satellites for the XL Winter Series. Two of the events on the schedule offer at least $200K in guarantees – Event #22: $200,000 GTD Tune-Up, and the main highlight of the festival, Event #43: $500,000 GTD Main Event. Here’s how you can win a seat into these events at a lesser price.
This event takes place on January 23 and has a buy-in of $109, with a huge $200,000 guarantee up for grabs, the second-biggest guarantee of the series. Here’s the good news – you can win a ticket into the $200K Tune-Up at zero costs via two freerolls running daily.
You may also qualify via satellites and you can choose between two buy-ins, $16.50 and $22. These satellites will award up to 40 seats into the $200K Tune-Up event. Apart from that, standard satellites are running as well where you can win a $109 ticket. You can use it to enter the Tune Up event or any other tournaments on the schedule with a similar buy-in.
The XL Winter Series will culminate in the Main Event which takes place on January 30. The event has a buy-in of $250 and offers $500,000 in guarantees. 888poker is running freerolls every day, alongside satellites that cost just $33 to enter. The site is expected to add more satellites into the Main Event and to keep up to date with the latest additions, open the Main Event lobby and click on the satellite tab.
