ARIA Resort & Casino will once again host the ARIA Poker Classic and WPT500 event from May 26 to July 8, 2018 for the 2018-2019 season. This year, the tournament will bring bigger buy-ins and mixed-game events such as the No-Limit Hold’em, Eight Game Mix, Pot Limit Omaha, PLO8, Limit O.E., Limit Omaha 8/B, Triple Draw Mix, No Limit 2-7, Triple Stud, HORSE and more.
The buy-ins will vary and start from $240 and go up to $1,100 for the No-Limit Hold’em games. Some of the special events that will be held during the ARIA Poker Classic include the two $470 Seniors events which will be held from July 13 to 17 and a $300 Ladies event on July 3 at 2 p.m.
High rollers will also be delighted to know that there are three $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em events scheduled throughout the tournament and will take place on June 6, June 20 and July 6.
Apart from the $1,100 NLH events, the biggest and most anticipated event during the ARIA Poker Classic this year is the fifth season of the WPT500 Las Vegas, which will have $1 million in guaranteed prize pools and has a low buy-in of $570. The WPT500 will start on June 25 and will run until July 1.
The previous WPT500 editions at the ARIA Resort & Casino were attended by a total of 16,209 entrants who battled it out for over $8.127 million in prizes. The organizers believe that there will be more entries this year to make up more than $10 million in guaranteed prize money.
World Poker Tour
The WPT500 Las Vegas event in 2017 was won by Jon Borenstein after he ended up defeating Joep Raemaekers in the heads-up to win $230,000. Borenstein took home the title and the biggest payout after besting 3,541 entrants. Raemaekers still made a handsome payday during the event, taking home $160,000, while Aleksandr Gofman at 3rd took home $115,000.
Apart from the WPT500 Las Vegas, WPT500 also will also make stops in Los Angeles at The Gardens Casino on May 21, 2017 and in London at the Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City on Mar 11, 2018. The ARIA Classic 2017 will open with the $400 No-Limit Hold’em event on June 2, 11 a.m. The last event will be another $400 No-Limit Hold’em event scheduled on July 16. Poker players who will compete at the ARIA Poker Classic will get special room rates at the ARIA throughout the duration of the tournament.
