The Asia Series Poker Tour (ASPT) has finally released the full schedule of its Taiwan stop this year.
ASPT Taiwan 2023 kicks off on September 1 and features a diverse schedule of events, with the action taking place at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City.
ASPT Taiwan 2023
Running from September 1-10, ASPT Taiwan 2023 features a wide range of buy-ins, starting at US$150 to over US$4,000. The schedule includes traditional variants like No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha, but there are less popular varieties that players can also take a shot at, such as mixed games. The hugely popular Mystery Bounty format is also part of the line-up.
The series allows late registration but only for shorter periods, ensuring fair play and avoiding too many re-entries.
The main highlight of the series is easily the Main Event which comes with NT$7,000,000 in guaranteed prize money for a buy-in of NT$33,000. The tournament has three Day 1 flights and runs from September 6-10.
Apart from the Main Event, there are several other tournaments with guaranteed prize pools attached to them, such as the opening event – NT$22,000 No-Limit Hold’em Masters Series – which offers NT$ 2,000,000 in guarantees, the NT$15,000 No-Limit Hold’em Classic (NT$1,500,000 GTD), the NT$10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Accumulator (NT$2,000,000 GTD) and the N$10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Sunday Single (NT$500,000 GTD). All of these events (except for the Sunday Single) feature multiple starting flights.
Other key events on the schedule include the NT$22,000 Mystery Bounty, NT$22,000 Pot Limit Omaha Masters Series, NT$33,000 Mixed Games Championship ENDECATHLON and the $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em Platinum Series Platinum Cup.
Player First Approach
The ASPT Taiwan schedule was designed to ensure the best gaming experience for players, with the tour adopting a player first approach. The diverse line-up of events will make sure that all players can be accommodated, in line with the ASPT’s commitment to inclusivity.
Additionally, organizers have opted for a flatter payout structure wherein players finishing in the top 15% will walk away with some cash. This ensures bigger payouts for those running deep in events.
The upcoming Taiwan series is just the second event of the ASPT. The tour launched its first festival, ASPT Korea, in January 2023. It was a huge success, drawing more than 2,000 entries and creating over KRW1.3 billion (approx. US$1 million) in total prize pool.
