CPPT Making A Stop At Derby Lane In October

The Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) is getting together with Derby Lane’s Pokerfest Series to put on a 10-event extravaganza that will have $320,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs.

Things get rolling with a $150 buy-in no-limit hold’em mega stack tournament with a $50,000 guarantee on September 28th. The action winds down on October 7th with a $250 buy-in mega stack event that features a $10,000 guarantee.

The $200,000 guaranteed Main Event will be the highlight of this 10-day event. This no-limit hold’em event with a $1,000 buy-in gets underway on October 4th.

Players will start with 30,000 chips but can opt to buy 20,000 more for just $30. If $1,000 is a little too much for your bankroll then you can also win a seat through single table satellites with a $110 buy-in or $125 buy-in main event satellites.

Players will also be able to compete for a seat at the main event in Derby Lane’s package qualifiers. For a $175 buy-in, players will take their shot at winning a package of event entries which includes the main event, the $350 monster stack, and October 7th’s $250 mega stack.

Other Exciting Events

Players will compete for a piece of the $10,000 in guaranteed prize money in a $350 buy-in bounty event on October 1st and a $350 monster stack with a $20,000 guarantee will be held on October 2nd . There is also a $300 pot-limit Omaha tournament slated for October 4th . There is a $250 event for the ladies that will be held on September 30th and feature a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool and seniors can get in on the action too in the $250 buy-in on October 2nd . That event also has $5,000 in guaranteed cash prizes.

Poker At Derby Lane

The St. Petersburg Kennel Club ran their first greyhound races back in 1925. The track opened the poker room in 1997 and then completed an extensive $2.5 million renovation in 2009. It is now one of the most popular destinations for poker players in Florida. Over $200,000 in cash prizes are awarded every month and they hold plenty of tournaments and cash games to suit almost any budget.

Some of the recent updates to the poker room include new high-limit rooms, an improved tournament area, a strong Wi-Fi signal and a full menu with extended hours.
