Endrit Geci Captures 2021’s partypoker MILLIONS Online ME Title

Endrit Geci has emerged victorious in the 2021 partypoker MILLIONS Online $5,300 Main Event. The British poker pro won $774,838 in top prize following a heads-up deal with Brazil’s Francisco Correia. The Main Event awarded $5,420,000 in total prize money after attracting 1,084 entries.

Geci’s latest victory gave him his biggest score so far in his career, surpassing his previous major accomplishment during the 2020 WSOP Online Bracelet Series on GGPoker, where he booked a runner-up finish for $223,978. Geci’s partypoker MILLIONS Online win also overshadows his live tournament record – his Hendon Mob profile shows that his total live earnings currently sit at more than $200,000.

The final table kicked off with Geci holding the chip lead. Jonathan Proudfoot, who was the second-shortest stack among the finalists, was the first to bow out of the game, and it happened quickly, just 20 minutes into the final action.
Proudfoot called the four-bet of Brazil’s Hermogenes Gelonezi, with ace-queen suited vs. pocket tens. The UK pro failed to improve on the river, and he was eliminated in 9th place for $72,260.

The next player to go was Martin Brinkmann, courtesy of the eventual winner. Brinkmann ran his queen-jack into Geci’s aces, with the latter making a full house on the turn. Brinkmann didn’t find any help on the river to exit in 8th place for $91,542. That represents a huge ROI for the British pro who entered the event via a $530 satellite.

Geci went on to eliminate Christian Rudolph with ace-king against tens. Like Brinkmann, Rudolph also qualified via satellite, and he was able to convert his $530 investment into a $146,300 payday for finishing 6th. By this time, Geci was holding a massive chip advantage over the other four players at the table.

Daniel Dvoress Finishes Third

Daniel Dvoress sent Gelonezi to the rail in 5th place for $189,320 with eights vs. pocket sevens, and then doubled through Geci to grab the lead. Urbanovich was next to go home, when his ace-queen failed to hold against Dvoress’ flopped set with pocket queens. The Polish pro walked away with $276,128 for his 4th-place finish.

Dvoress did not manage to advance to heads-up play after he became short-stacked when Correia double through him and Geci. Correia ultimately finished Dvoress off with straight-over-straight, and the Canadian settled for 3rd place with $422,422 in winnings.

Geci and Correia eventually agreed to a heads-up deal, leaving $50,000 to play for. Each player was guaranteed to take home more than $700,000 regardless of the outcome. In the end, it was Geci who walked away with the lion’s share of the prize after defeating Correia in a limped pot with top two against ten-deuce. Correia won $731,960 for his runner-up finish.
