EU Poker Pros Get Ready For 2020 Dublin Poker Festival Next Month

One of the top poker hotspots going into February 2020 will be Dublin, Ireland as the prestigious Dublin Poker Festival sponsored by Unibet Poker will make its return. The poker festival will run from February 13 to March 1 and will feature 55 tournaments, including the hugely popular Unibet Open. The action takes place at The Bonnington Hotel in Whitehall, Dublin.

The tournament is expected to attract players from Ireland, the UK and other parts of Europe, with Irish poker pro and Unibet Poker Ambassador David Lappin also confirmed to take part in some of the highlight events. He will be at festival alongside fellow countryman Dara O’Kearney, who also represent Unibet Poker brand.

Lappin is particularly looking forward to the Unibet Open Main Event which carries a €250,000 guarantee. The Irishman is confident that this figure will be smashed and he is hoping to take down the event in his own country. The €1,100 buy-in Main Event kicks off on February 27 with three starting flights. A winner will be determined on March 1.

Lappin said that these longer poker festivals offer greater opportunities for players to win big as there are a wide variety of events to choose from. Apart from the Unibet Open Main Event, players can also try their hand in a European Deepstack Main Event which features a buy-in of €570 and takes place on February 20-23. Those with a limited bankroll can win their way into these events by taking part in plenty of satellites running throughout the festival, both live and online.

Unibet Poker runs online satellites for the Dublin Poker Festival Main Event every Wednesday and Sunday. The satellites for ACOP and European Deepstacks are scheduled every Monday and Tuesday.

Perfect Spot for Poker Action

The Dublin Poker festival is a great opportunity for up and coming poker players in the UK and EU to make a name for themselves as the competition will be tough but not as fierce as battling it out at the World Series of Poker Europe.

Apart from all of the poker action at the tables, players can take a break to enjoy some of the city’s iconic bars and enjoy the vibrant night life, or drop by some historic distilleries. Do make sure you update your schedule now to get the most out of your stay in Dublin. To find out more information, please visit the Dublin Poker Festival official website.
