EPT Returns to London In October with Platinum Pass Giveaway

Summary

  • EPT London is back after eight long years
  • The series will take place in October and will award two Platinum Passes
  • Cash games will also be running at London Hippodrome Casino to celebrate the event

This year has seen many popular tournament series returning after being on hiatus for a long time, one of them is the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) London.

The last time UK players last took part in an EPT London tournament was eight years ago.

The 2022 edition of EPT London will run from October 18 – 28 at the Hilton Park Lane and will run alongside the London leg of the United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT).

Among the key events to be on the lookout for are the following: £1,100 UKIPT London Main Event (October 18-22), £440 UKIPT Mystery Bounty Cup (October 20-21), £1,100 EPT London H.O.R.S.E. Championship (October 20-21), £2,200 UKIPT High Roller (October 21-22) and £5,300 EPT London Main Event (October 22-28).

There are two notable high-stakes tournaments on the schedule – the £50,000 EPT London Super High Roller (October 21-23), and the £10,300 EPT London High Roller (October 26-28).

To mark EPT London’s huge comeback, PokerStars will be giving away not just one, but two Platinum Passes worth $30K each during the festival. The first one will be awarded in the £3,000 Platinum Pass Mystery Bounty which takes place from October 24-26. The highly-coveted pass will be among the mystery bounty prizes up for grabs in the tournament.

The second Platinum Pass will be awarded to the winner of the All-In Shootout tournament scheduled for October 22.

The Platinum Pass will serve as the player’s ticket to the 2023 PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC). It covers the $25,000 buy-in, six nights’ hotel accommodation for two, airport transfers, $1,900 in expenses, bespoke PSPC merchandise, as well as exclusive experiences, for a total value of $30,000.

EPT London holds a special place in the heart of PokerStars as it was among the stops of the first EPT season way back in 2004. Cedric Billot, Head of Global Live Event Operations at PokerStars, said they’re happy to bring EPT back to London and are excited to welcome players from all over the world.

Cash Games Running at London Hippodrome Casino

Meanwhile, as the EPT London takes place, PokerStars will be holding a cash game bonanza at the London Hippodrome Casino. The team will run 40 cash game tables at the venue, with exciting offers for players. For everyone’s convenience, PokerStars will provide a free shuttle service from Hilton Park Lane to Hippodrome and vice-versa.
