Summary
GGPoker is on a quest to dethrone PokerStars from being the number one online poker operator in the world. One of its key strategies to spread its brand image and appeal to a bigger global audience is to sign strategic brand ambassadors that can promote and market GGPoker.
GGPoker signed Dan Bilzerian as a brand ambassador last year but the Instagram King brought more negative publicity than positive branding and GGPoker parted ways with Bilzerian this year. GGPoker has now made two strategic signings by bringing on Jeff Gross and Ali Nejad as the two latest brand ambassadors.
Gross and Nejad now join an already impressive list of brand ambassadors which includes the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Fedor Holz, Jason Koon and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.
Ali Nejad has a little over $5,000 in total prize money based on the Hendon Mob, so it’s clear that GGPoker is not signing Nejad due to his abilities as a player. Nejad is best known for being the first host of the popular Poker After Dark TV series. When the TV series moved to the PokerGO platform, Nejad continued to host the series.
He is well known in the poker community as he has been one of the top poker commentators for a long time along with Lon McEachern and Norman Chad. Now that GGPoker has ownership rights of Poker After Dark, it makes a lot of sense why Nejad is part of the GGPoker stable of ambassadors.
Nejad will continue to be one of the premier voices in the world of poker and also for GGPoker!
Jeff Gross has tasted success at the poker tables and has over $3.5 million in prize money. However once again GGPoker isn’t signing Gross just for his prowess at the poker tables. Gross has one of the most popular poker podcasts in the world with the ‘Jeff Gross Podcast’. He also has a strong presence on Twitch and has over 80,000 followers.
GGPoker will rely on Gross to use his podcast and his social media following to promote the GGPoker brand.
