Summary

  • The $40M GTD series is the biggest high-stakes series to take place on GGPoker
  • Players will compete in 72 events until February 6
  • Asia Poker League returns in with $12 million guaranteed

The popular Super MILLION$ Week returns to GGPoker for a fourth edition this month, and the operator is upping the ante with more events to choose from and a much bigger guarantee at stake.

The high-stakes series got underway on January 23 and will run until February 6, offering a record-breaking guarantee!

Key Details and Highlights

The latest Super MILLION$ Week is the largest in the history of the series, featuring a combined guaranteed prize pool of more than $40 million, spread out across 72 high stakes events. It is also the biggest high-stakes series ever hosted on GGPoker.

The festival will culminate in the Main Event which comes with a $10,300 buy-in and a massive $5 million guarantee. The event features multiple starting flights, with players allowed to late-register in Day 2.

While most players will be on the lookout for the Main Event, there are other key tournaments on the schedule boasting seven-figure prize pools, 18 of them awarding more than $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize money!

The fourth iteration of the popular series also includes the biggest freezeout tournament, with $1,000,000 on offer for players and fans of the old-school format.

The festival was first held in March 2021, with a 31-event schedule and a guaranteed prize pool of $30 million. For its fourth edition, GGPoker’s initial plan was to run a total of 42 high-stakes tournaments, with $20 million in guarantees on offer across seven days of real money online action. The operator ultimately decided to expand the schedule and double the guarantee, which means bigger opportunities for players.

APL Online Series Back on GGPoker

After the Super MILLION$ Week, there are more major tournament series to look forward to on GGPoker next month. The operator is bringing back the Asia Poker League(APL) Online Series which runs from January 30 to February 13. The series returns for a third edition, with CNY 80,000,000 (approx. $12 million in USD) in guarantees up for grabs across 20 events.

Just like the previous editions, most of the participants in the series will be made up of Asian players, though players from across the globe can also take part.
