GGPoker continues to give away massive prizes each week as the online poker room is running some cool weekly tournaments. Bert “girafganger” Stevens is the latest player to have won the latest edition of Super MILLION$ for $393,362.
The online crusher was able to outclass a stacked final table comprised of some of the world’s top poker pros, including Jake Schindler and Sean Winter. The $10,000 buy-in Super MILLION$ ended in slight overlay after drawing just 196 players, only four entries short of reaching the $2 million guaranteed prize pool.
Matthias Eibinger, Ali Imsirovic, Dominik Nitsche, Daniel Dvoress, Andras Nemeth and Steve O’Dwyer participated in the event but left the table empty handed. Other prominent names from the high roller scene were also in attendance, such as Stephen Chidwick, Mike Watson, Christoph Vogelsang and GGPoker ambassador Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, all of whom failed to advance through to the final table.
Fast paced action began early into the final table, with Canadian poker pro Gullaume Nolet becoming the first player to leave the table after busting in ninth place for $45,151. The next to exit was Norway’s “CharlieD23” who took home $59,179 for finishing eighth, followed by Slovenia’s Rok Gostisa who earned $77,565 in seventh-place winnings.
During six-handed play, Canadian player “McDavid97” moved all in with queen-ten, but the ace-jack of fellow Canadian Sean Winter was enough to send him out of the game in sixth place for $101,665, earning the first six-figure score of the final table.
Winter went on to eliminate another player from Canada, Schindler, who settled for fifth place with $133,252 in winnings. But Winter’s strong performance ended during four-handed play when Stevens finished him off with pocket kings against ace-queen. Winter took home $174,653 for finishing fourth. The eventual winner’s next target was Mexico’s “Nator” who also ran into his pocket kings. The Mexican walked away with $228,917 for his strong third-place showing.
GGPoker
Stevens entered heads-up play against Brazil’s “Beanboozled” with a massive chip lead, and he never relinquished that position through to the final stages of the game, his winning hand being ace-jack, beating the Brazilian’s king-jack. Beanboozled took home $300,040 for finishing as runner-up.
Super MILLION$ kicks off every Sunday on GGPoker, with the final table playing out on Tuesday. It is the world’s largest weekly super high roller tournament, guaranteeing $2 million for a buy-in of $10,000.
