Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Makes Return To Walsall

The popular Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is making a return to one of its mainstay destinations, Walsall. Except for its 2015 edition, the GUKPT has always made a stop at this West Midlands city to hold one of its prestigious events at the Grosvenor Casino Walsall.

This season’s GUKPT Walsall festival will be held between April 23 and April 30 and feature a range of tournaments and satellites for players to take part in. The detailed schedule for the festival was released recently.

The £110 Mini Main Event will be kicking off the festival. Other events include a £165 no-limit hold’em event, £110 NLHE 6-Max, £82 Pot-Limit Omaha 4/5/6 and a £110 bounty tournament. The highlight event will be the £550 buy-in Main Event which will have a £100,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Several Satellites for the Main Event are being held through the week at the venue and also online at the Grosvenor Poker site. The £26 Super Satellite to Main Event will be held daily at the casino during the first few days of the festival, allowing plenty of chances for players keen to win an entry ticket. A £82 Super Satellite to Main Event will be held on April 26.

Last year the £550 Main Event was won by Lee Wai Kiat after he went on to beat an entry field of 241. He took home the first prize worth £34,850.

GUKPT
