The PokerStars Festival will be heading to the City of Dreams Manila later this month, making it its second stop in Asia. Scheduled to be held from July 28 to Aug. 7, the tournament will feature 56 exciting events.
The festival is hitting the Philippines after its first ever Asian stop at South Korea. The PokerStars Festival Korea is currently underway at the Paradise City Hotel & Resort located in the port city of Incheon.
The Manila leg will bring a range of exciting poker events for Asian poker fans.
Two of the biggest events are: the PokerStars Festival Manila PHP 55,000 Main Event and the PokerStars Festival Manila PHP 215,000 High Roller. The Main Event has a stunning guaranteed prize pool of PHP 20,000,000 and will have three opening flights from Aug. 3-5.

Players have the benefit of unlimited rebuys until the end of Level 9. The High Roller precedes the Main Event and will be held between Aug. 2 and 3. Players have the opportunity to enjoy unlimited re-entries until Level 12 ends, which is the first level on Day 2.The tournament features a 30-second shot clock which is bound to make the play fast and exciting. The rules however allow three timebank chips for players to use for making difficult decisions.
The festival’s wide range of poker events is expected to attract poker players from all over Asia. The PHP 16,500 PokerStars Open will be the first event of the Festival and will take place from July 28 to July 30. The event features a guaranteed prize pool of PHP 4 Million.
The PHP 27,500 PokerStars Super Deep starts July 30 while the PHP 22,000PokerStars Cup will be held Aug 4-7.
A wide variety of NLH games will be on offer including a PHP 55,000 Deepstack, the PHP 16,500 Turbo – 6 Handed, a PHP 16,500 Bubble Rush, a PHP 5,600 Win The Button and a PHP 22,000 Open Face Chinese Pineapple. A NLH/PLO Mixed Game with a buy in of PHP 33,000 is also on cards and will be held on Aug 2.
Other special events include a PHP 4,000 NLH – Charity Event scheduled for July 31 and an exclusive Women’s event that will be held on the last day of the festival. In addition to the above, PokerStars LIVE Manila will also have 14 cash game tables running games across different formats like No Limit Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha and Badugi starting at PHP 25.
