PokerStars Festival Will Make First Appearance In Asia With South Korea Launch

The PokerStars Festival will come to Asia for the first time with its upcoming stop at the South Korean coastal city of Incheon between July 14 and 24. Hosted by the Paradise City Hotel & Resort the PokerStars Festival will feature 34 exciting events making it the largest live poker event to be held in South Korea.

The newly-opened Paradise City Hotel is the biggest casino for foreigners in South Korea with 440 slot machines. The casino also boasts of a range of facilities including a luxury hotel with 711 guest rooms, a convention center, numerous restaurants plus a bar and a lounge.

Two of the biggest events at this PokerStars Festival which are likely to attract the maximum interest are the PokerStars Festival Korea KRW 4,350,000 High Roller and the PokerStars Festival Korea KRW 1,650,000 Main Event.

The Main Event is scheduled for July 20-22 where players will start with 30,000 chips each. Only one entry per flight is allowed but players can enter as many flights as they want until Day 2.

The high roller event will have two starting flights beginning July 20. Players will be able to re-enter as many times they want until reaching end of Level 14 on Day 2. The tournament will have a 30-second shot clock with players receiving three time bank chips that they can use when they require more time.

There are also a number of exciting events are on offer for players. Some of the top events include the PokerStars Open scheduled from July 14-16 with a buy-in of KRW 333,000 and a guaranteed pool prize of KRW 50,000,000, the KRW 660,000PokerStars Super Deep between July 16 and 19, the PokerStars Cup scheduled for July 23 -24 with a buy-in of KRW 440,000 and NLH – Megastack with a buy-in of KRW 1,650,000 betweenJuly 23-24.

A dedicated tournament for women is also on the schedule. The NL Hold'em – Women's Event is planned on the final day July 24 with a buy-in of KRW 220,000. Low cost online satellites are already ongoing on PokerStars sites for players interested in winning a seat to the PokerStars South Korea Festival.

The Festival closes with a qualifier event for the next Asian stop which is the PokerStars Festival of Manila scheduled from July 28-August 7, 2017. With a buy in of KRW 250,000 the NLH – PokerStars Festival Manila Qualifier is a great opportunity for players who are interested in playing in Manila.
