Now that the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Las Vegas tournament has come to a close, all of the top online poker sites are running major tournaments with millions of dollars in prize money up for grabs.
GGPoker is currently hosting a Battle of Malta tournament that has €25 million in guarantees, partypoker is hosting the first ever McLaren Turbo Series with $2.5 million in guarantees, PokerStars is doing well with its MicroMillions tournament that has $4.5 million in guarantees.
The iPoker network is not as popular as some of the premier poker brands that we mentioned above. However, iPoker network is also getting in on the act with its 2022 Summer Festival taking place from July 29 to August 08. The iPoker network consists of a number of popular brands which includes William Hill, Paddy Power Poker, bet365 and betfair.
iPoker will run its 2022 Summer Festival with a total of €1 million in guaranteed prize money being up for grabs. The poker operator has priced its buy-ins from €5 to €200 to appeal to poker players with different bankrolls. The online poker operator is also running a number of satellite events during the 2022 Summer Festival to enable poker players to qualify for some of the bigger buy-ins at a fraction of the cost.
The 2022 Summer Festival will appeal mostly to low and mid stakes poker players. They will have quite a lot of variety to choose from as iPoker has put together a schedule which features a number of poker variants. Players will get to choose from progressive knockouts, turbo, multiday tournaments and hyper-turbo events.
The highlights of the 2022 Summer Festival will be the two Main Events. The first is a mini Main Event that has a €30 buy-in and a prize pool of €50,000. There will be multiple Day1s starting from July 27 and ending on Aug 08. The Main Event comes with a €150 buy-in and a total guaranteed prize pool of €100,000.
The mini Main Event and the Main Event will use a Best Stack Forward format where only the highest stack can be carried into Day 2.
