Summary
The Irish Poker Tour has had a jam-packed schedule so far this year, successfully hosting multiple poker events across various locations in Ireland and the UK, and the action continues later this month with its next live event, the Irish Poker Festival Killarney.
The series will run from September 29 to October 2 at the INEC Arena at Gleneagles Hotel Killarney, offering €450,000 in total guarantees. The schedule is comprised of more than a dozen events, with different formats and variants available, such as No-Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Mystery Bounty, Monster Stack, Freezeout and Omaha 7 Max.
Players can enter the festival for as low as €80, with the highest buy-in set at €2,500. The series officially opens on September 29 but players can get themselves ready for the huge action via a €150 buy-in Warm-Up NLH event on September 28.
The main highlight of the series is the Irish Poker Cup which also serves as the Main Event. The tournament features a €500 buy-in and €200,000 in guaranteed prize money. It has five Day 1 flights running from September 29 to October 1, and each player starts with a 50,000 chip stack, played to 30-minute levels.
Another event on the schedule that is not to be missed is the Irish Omaha Championship, Ireland’s biggest PLO tournament. It comes with a €2,500 buy-in, offering €75,000 in guarantees.
High roller fans also have an event for them – the Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em which costs €2,000 to enter and awards €50,000 in guaranteed prize money. There will be satellites for all three events at INEC Arena, which is great news for those with limited bankroll.
There is no shortage of chances to join in on the action for a cheaper price, with Paddy Power Poker also hosting daily online satellites available for as low as €0.01. The site will be giving away an Irish Poker Festival Killarney package worth €1,000 to the lucky winners.
Apart from that, Paddy Power Poker is also awarding €150 in Irish Poker Tour credit to players who are able to earn 15,000 points by playing cash games and tournaments on the online platform. Your €150 will become €500 if you accumulate a total of 50,000 points before September 25, which is enough to get you a seat into the €200K GTD Irish Poker Cup.
