Martin Jacobson & Farid Jattin Team Up for Upcoming Online Training Course

Aspiring poker players aiming to make it big in tournament poker can learn a lot from an online training course to be conducted by top poker players Martin Jacobson and Farid Jattin.

Jacobson was the winner of the 2014 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event where he bagged $10,000,000 in top prize, the fifth largest single payout in tournament history. His total live earnings currently sit at over $17 million.

Meanwhile, Jattin is the most successful poker pro in his home country of Colombia.

In 2020, he took down the A$25K Challenge during the Aussie Millions, and then went on to win the A$25K PLO at the Australian Poker Open. He added a third major win within the year when he claimed the $10K partypoker MILLIONS South America high roller, bringing his total career earnings to more than $5 million.

Fundamentals & Social Side of Poker

The complex nature of poker makes it necessary for aspiring players to have a vast understanding of the fundamental concepts of the game and the principles that can be applied to multiple scenarios, and this is what Jacobson and Jattin will focus on in their training course.

Jacobson says students need to learn the WHATs and WHYs when faced with different situations while playing. Among the concepts covered in the course are defending the big blind, raise-first-in (RFI) charts, bubble play, as well as final table play.

The duo also wants to highlight the importance of social interaction in improving one’s knowledge of the game. It is for this reason that they are conducting the coaching sessions by groups.

Jacobson said real-life conversations have played a vital role in his poker success over the years and he wants his students to also give due importance to the social side of poker to accomplish their goals.

For Farid Jattin, teaming up with Jacobson in sharing his knowledge to aspiring pros is his way of giving back to the community. At the same time, it also gives him the chance to be productive in the middle of the pandemic.

Schedule and Cost

The pair will conduct training courses via Zoom beginning January 12. The group courses will take place every Tuesday and Thursday, through to February.

Those keen on learning from the elite duo would need to spend $1,500 for the whole 20-hour course which will run for five weeks. The course will be split into two-hour sessions, and there will be two time slots available for the day so students could properly manage their schedules.

The full package also grants students automatic membership to an exclusive Discord channel where they can interact and share knowledge with fellow members.
