The popular Monster Series is back at partypoker! The festival is set to kick off on October 31, featuring a jam-packed schedule comprising of 82 events which will run until November 16.
The Monster Series is the perfect online poker festival for low-stakes players on the hunt for massive prizes.
It boasts of offering “championship quality” tournaments at a fraction of the price, giving players the chance to compete for championship glory without having to risk their entire bankroll.
The value-packed series also features some of the best event structures online, regardless of the stakes involved, which is one of the reasons why it continues to attract more and more players each year.
2020 Monster Series – Key Details
The 2020 edition of the Monster Series features buy-ins ranging from as low as $1.10, all the way up to $265. The number of starting flights for each event is limited to not more than two, and players are only allowed single re-entry. This is done to level the playing field for those who cannot afford to fire multiple bullets when trying to win in a tournament.
The Monster Series also holds on to its promise of high-quality tournaments by reducing the late registration period. Players can late-register within a max two hour window which prevents those who usually join at the last minute from doing so. The reduced late registration period also allows players to know in advance the exact number of opponents that they need to surpass in order to win.
The Monster Series also continues to feature superb blind structures despite the low buy-ins. For instance, a $20,000 GTD Deepstack event included in this year’s schedule has a buy-in of only $11, but players will start the action with 200,000 in chips, with blinds beginning at 500/1,000/130a. Despite the blinds increasing every 10 minutes, they’re still at 2,500/5,000/630a at Level 10. The lower buy-in editions also adopt a similar structure.
Exciting Events To Watch Out For
The main highlight of the festival is the Main Event, which has two buy-in levels – $5.50 and $55, with $30,000 and $300,000 in guarantees up for grabs respectively. The Main Event, alongside its Mini version will both run from November 14 to 16.
The opening event, an 8-Max, is also something you shouldn’t miss as it will give away a cool $150,000 in guaranteed prize money for just a $33 entry fee. It also comes with a smaller buy-in version which costs just $3.30 to enter.
