After a 13-year break, the partypoker MILLION is making a comeback! The weekly tournament is set to return on October 27, with a modified format offering more flexibility to real money poker players.
The popular tournament will mark its return by featuring a total of four starting flights, with players being allowed unlimited reentry during each flight.
However, they can only take their largest stack through to the final day. Players can take a shot at a massive $1 million guaranteed prize pool, for a buy-in of just $215.
The schedule is designed to be friendlier to players, especially those who have regular day jobs. The weekly tournament is designed to conclude at around 2am, so participants can still attend to their regular jobs without hassle.
The four Day 1s will take place on October 27, 29, 31, and November 3, after which survivors will play in 12-minute levels and battle it out for the lion’s share of the prize.
All Day 1s will be played in 10-minute levels, for a total of 21 levels. This means, each starting flight lasts for approximately 3.5 hours, including short breaks. Players will kick off the action with 1 million chips, and they may take part by directly paying the $215 entry fee, or by depositing $215 worth of PP LIVE Dollars.
partypoker is also running a number of satellites, giving players the opportunity to win their way into the $1 million-guaranteed event at a more affordable price starting from as low as $1.10, with 20 seats up for grabs each day until October 27. After that, there will more seats to be won.
There will also be something in store for players looking to win big for just a small investment, as two smaller versions of the partypoker MILLION tournament will also be running — a $2.20 buy-in Micro edition, as well as a $22 Mini version, both featuring $20,000 and $200,000 in guarantees respectively.
A number of partypoker ambassadors have already expressed interest in joining the event, including Jason Koon who said it has always been his goal to win in the weekly tournament. Sam Trickett also echoed Koon’s views, saying the return of the popular tournament will be received positively by players of every bankroll.
