partypoker Fixes MILLION Glitch And Makes Changes To Hand Histories

The initial return of the hugely popular partypoker MILLION Sunday tournament ended in controversy after it was cancelled due to a technical glitch which prevented qualified players from advancing into Day 2 of the event on November 3. Officials have been quick to address the issue, with the affected players being properly compensated.

Those who were supposed to play on Day 2 also received a $215 ticket to any upcoming partypoker MILLION tournament.

partypoker promptly fixed the glitch to make sure players will not encounter similar difficulties in the future. The operator proceeded with hosting the next MILLION tournament, which took place on November 3-10.

Thankfully, everything went smoothly, as players successfully took their seats on Day 2 of the event on November 10, until a winner was declared.

The tournament attracted 4,658 entries to generate $931,600 in total prize pool. partypoker poured in almost $70,000 to manage the overlay and reach the $1 million advertised guarantee. When everything was said and done, it was “Velazquez76” who emerged as the winner, taking home $152,770. “mickeyMous3” collected $106,650 as runner-up.

New Changes

To provide a better online poker experience for its players, partypoker has kept its promise to make hand histories available for download. While the implementation took longer than planned owing to issues with encryption, players have started downloading anonymous hand histories since November 8 via the “mygame” tab.

partypoker spokesman and Dusk Till Dawn owner Rob Yong have also continued to coordinate with players, collecting feedback in relation to re-entries as well as late registration for multi-table tournaments. He also asked for views on why non-PKO MTTs are not attracting that much interest among players.

Based on feedback, a single reentry for MTTs and one-hour late registration could soon be implemented, alongside clock changes for hourly MTTs with buy-ins of between $1.10 and $55.

Spanish Pro MartiRoca Signs Up To Team Online

partypoker has also added another pro to its roster of ambassadors. Marti Roca de Torres of Spain is now part of Team Online, and will wear the partypoker logo in the European ring-fenced market. Torres, who plays as “MartiRoca” online, is a native of Mataro and started his professional poker career back in 2016, playing both live and online.

Though his focus is mostly on online tournaments, Torres also has an impressive live tournament record. He took down the 2017 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event in Rozvadov, Czech Republic for €1,115,207.
