The third edition of MILLIONS North America is about to hit the Playground Poker Club in Canada.
Partypoker LIVE is partnering with the Canadian venue for the third consecutive year to host some exciting poker action from May 13 to 26.
Details and Highlights
The 2019 MILLIONS North America stop features a total guaranteed prize pool of $8,000,000, spread across 12 action-packed events. The highlight of this poker festival will be the Main Event which has a $5 million guarantee attached to it and is expected to attract some of the world’s best poker players.
The Main Event has had huge success during its previous editions in 2017 and 2018 and has become an important date on the global poker calendar. It takes place from May 22-26.
Million-dollar prize money is also up for grabs at two other events: the $10,300 buy-in High Roller taking place on May 23-29, as well as the $1,100 buy-in Montreal Open on May 17-21. Both events allow unlimited re-entries.
Players can also take part in two additional Super High Roller events, each with a buy-in of $25,300. The first high roller event takes place on May 19-20, while the second one is scheduled for May 25-26.
Satellites
The tournament aims to attract as many players as possible, regardless of their bankroll, with plenty of satellites running throughout the series. These satellites are available both online and live. The 2019 edition of Millions North America aims to give away free seats to at least 200 qualifiers. Players of all levels will have the opportunity to get in on the action at the Playground club.
So far, 88 players have already won an entry to the Main Event. In the run up to the huge tournament, a series of direct satellites will also be held, guaranteeing 70 seats.
Side Events
The 2019 schedule is rounded out by seven other side events, starting off with the Playground 200, a small buy-in event kicking off the tournament on May 13 and running till May 17.
Despite having a smaller buy-in of $200, the event will be treated in a similar fashion to the huge highlight events, with the same modern tournament structures and skilled dealers. There will also be a $600 buy-in Big Bounty on May 24, $550 6-Max on May 26, and a $330 Pot Limit Omaha Bounty Event closing the series on May 26.
