partypoker is rebranding its Sit & Go Jackpot Games. They will now be known as “Spins” and the online poker room has announced that it will be hosting $5 buy-in spins which give players the opportunity to win a potential $1 million jackpot.
Sit & Go games are a popular with most online poker websites, awarding random prizes to players. The prizes can go as high as 1,200 times the buy-in and the games usually follow a winner-takes-all structure.
Regular Spin games follow exactly the same format as the Sit & Go jackpot games, with buy-ins ranging from as low as $0.25 to $250. The 4 – 8 percent rake deducted from each game also remains the same along with the prize distribution.
The only distinct feature in the new million dollar Spin games is that the potential prize pool is boosted by an additional level which represents a 240,000x buy-in multiplier. If the $1 million top prize is drawn, $100,000 will go to players who finish in second and third place. For example, in each $5 buy-in game, you can win prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000,000 depending on the prize pool multiplier.
It is interesting to note that PokerStars is also currently running $5 buy-in Spin & Go games offering up to $1 million in first-place prize. But if you compare its frequency chart with that of partypoker, you will see that partypoker players have more chances of winning the $1 million prize.
Aside from the new $1 million jackpot Spin games, partypoker is also running a KO series featuring a total of 437 progressive knockout tournaments, carrying a combined prize pool of $15 million. The Series kicked off on February 3 and ends on February 17. Multiple events are scheduled for the final day featuring massive guarantees, alongside a $500,000 GTD Main Event.
Those who want to play the KO Series Spin games will only need to deposit $2.50 for each game. They can potentially go home with a $1,050 KO Series tournament ticket. The ticket can be used to take part in any of the events at the KO Series tournament, which include the $55 buy-in Main Event Mega Satellite happening on the last day of the series.
partypoker is also hosting Added Value satellites to help players take part in events with higher buy-ins. Over $350,000 worth of KO Series entry tickets will be given away to lucky winners. The million dollar Spins and the KO Series Spins will only run for a limited time. partypoker has not yet released further details on the million dollar promo’s validity period.
