PokerStars Releases Full Schedule For 2020 SCOOP With $85m GTD

The final schedule for the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is finally out! The festival, which is set to take place on April 30 to May 19, features a massive $85 million in guarantees – the largest ever guarantee to be awarded on a PokerStars tournament series.

SCOOP is among the most highly-anticipated major online festivals of the year and is played by some of the world’s best poker players. The annual series is now in its 12th year, bringing an exciting line up of events spread across three weeks of top-notch online action. The schedule features three buy-in levels, Low, Medium, and High, headlined by three no-limit Hold’em Main Events offering $13 million in combined guarantees.

The Main Events will take place on the final Sunday of the tournament on March 17, with three buy-in options to choose from: $109 (Low), $1,050 (Medium), and $10,300 High, each of which offers between $3 million and $5 million in guaranteed prize pool.

Each day throughout the festival, players will compete for at least $1.5 million in total guarantees, with the schedule featuring popular poker games and formats, such as Progressive Knockout, Pot-limit Omaha, and the traditional No-Limit Hold’em.
Players can win their way into huge events for a more affordable price by playing in special Spin & Go’s for as low as $4, giving them the chance to earn free entry into the $10,300 High Main Event.

Tons of side events are also available which you can play for as low as $2. All in all, 240 events will run throughout the series. High rollers will also get to enjoy a $25,000 buy-in Super High Roller with $2 million in guarantees up for grabs.

Former SCOOP Winners

SCOOP became witness to some of the most remarkable moments in online poker history. The series helped launch the careers of today’s top pros, such as Kahle “ROFLShove” Burns, Mustapha “Iasagnaaammm” Kanit and Charlie “Epiphany77” Carrel.

In 2019, Italian poker pro Gianluca “Tankanzaa” Speranza left an indelible mark in the world of online poker when he took down the $10,300 Main Event, for the second year running. His back to back victory meant he earned more than $2 million at SCOOP in a span of just one year – one of the greatest achievements in online poker.

Among previous winners of the $10,300 SCOOP Main Event are Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi, Ivan “vandir4rek” Soshnikov, Nicholas “GripDsNutz” Grippo, Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro, Ryan “toetagU” Fair and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom. Ireland’s Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth became the first winner of the Main Event back in 209.
