Rob Yong Shows Support for partypoker MILLION With $100K Heads-Up Offer

Rob Yong has launched an exciting offer for his fans and Twitter followers. Read on and this is one offer you shouldn’t miss!

In a video that was recently posted on his Twitter account, the Dusk Till Dawn owner and partypoker partner said that if one of his Twitter followers won the $215 partypoker MILLION on January 19, they would get the opportunity to compete against Yong heads-up, with $100,000 up for grabs.

The heads-up match may take place live or online at partypoker, and that lucky player would not be spending a single dime to take on the challenge. There was also another opportunity on offer.

Followers who decided to retweet Yong’s video and accurately predict the number of players taking part in the $1 million-guaranteed tournament, would get a chance to win $10,000 worth of partypoker tournament dollars, which you can use in entering events both live and online.

Gathering Player Feedback Via Twitter

Over the past few months, Yong has been active on social media, initiating interaction with players and fans, and gathering feedback on how to improve partypoker’s offerings.

More recently, he posted a series of questions on Twitter, urging his followers to share their thoughts and ideas on relevant tournament aspects, such as re-entries, blind levels, tournament length, and the type of live poker streams they’d want to watch. Yong also suggested three new tournament formats which could be introduced this year, depending on player feedback.

Partypoker MILLION Failing To Hit $1M Target

Yong was among the key people who pushed for the return of a weekly $1 million guaranteed tournament at partypoker, after a 13-year hiatus. The tournament’s new structure was designed to attract players who cannot commit to playing poker full time. The friendlier structure sees more Day 1s running during the week, which ultimately feed into a final battle every Sunday.

The tournament also ends at around 2:00-3:00am, allowing for more time flexibility for those who need to go to work on Monday. The site is also hosting plenty of satellites with a buy-in of just $22. But despite the new player-friendly structure, the weekly partypoker MILLION tournament has failed to meet its $1 million guarantee since making a comeback in October 2019.

In an interview with partypoker ambassador Jaime Staples, Yong admitted they are not entirely surprised by the overlays, as they were expected. However, Yong also indicated that if the tournament continues to fall short in the next three months, it might be axed. One aspect they are focusing on to address overlays is increasing traffic to the partypoker site.
