Russia’s Anatoliy Zlotnikov Takes Down Triton Cyprus $25K NLH Turbo

The 2023 Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo just came to a close with Anatoliy Zlotnikov crowned as the champion. The Russian poker player outlasted a field of 83 entries to claim the title and $496,100 in top prize.

Final Table Results

A number of prominent pros took part in the $25,000 buy-in tournament, including high-stakes superstar Fedor Holz and Americas Cardroom (ACR) ambassador Robert Kuhn. Unfortunately, both players fell short of making the money after they were eliminated in 13th and 12th place respectively.

After the pair’s elimination, each of the 11 remaining players was guaranteed to take home at least $51,900, though only 9 of them got the chance to compete for the title. One of them was Elton Tsang who finished 9th for $59,100. Santhosh Suvarna, who won the opening event of the series, busted in 8th place for $77,800. Both players fell into the hands of Ding Biao, the winner of the $30,000 mystery bounty event.

Biao was the chip leader when the final action started and boosted his stack further by eliminating Tsang and Suvarna, but an all-in with A-5 against the eventual winner’s pocket sevens cost him the title. Biao exited in 7th place with a $99,600 payout.

Next to go was ACR founder Phil Nagy whose A-9 ran into the A-J of Niko Koop. Nagy walked away with $126,500 for his 6th-place finish. Koop went on to eliminate Linus Loeliger with Q-4 versus A-J in a preflop showdown. Loeliger finished 5th for $161,900.

The momentum continued to build for Zlotnikov who finished off Barak Wisbrod in a coin flip. The latter took home his first Triton Poker cash of $204,500 good for 4th place.

Triton Poker regular Paul Phua finished strong yet again in the popular series, as he landed in 3rd place with $265,600 in winnings.

Biggest Win So Far for Zlotnikov

Zlotnikov and Koop entered heads-up action with both real money poker players having fairly equal stacks. Both agreed to chop the money, with each player guaranteed to walk away with $480,100. The action resumed with the title and an additional $16,000 at stake. All of that ultimately went to Zlotnikov who held K-8 suited and flopped a king to beat Koop’s pocket tens. Koop won $480,100 as runner-up.

Zlotnikov’s latest $496,100 victory represents his largest cash to date, bringing his total live earnings to $743,000.
