“SaquonNYG26” Wins Maiden Bracelet in WSOP Online $400 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max

While the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) live festival is well underway at Paris and Horseshoe in Las Vegas, an online bracelet series is running simultaneously on WSOP.com.

The latest online event to crown a winner was the $400 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max, with the top honors going to Gary “SaquonNYG26” Belyalovsky.

Belyalovsky outclassed a field of 1,488 entries to claim the largest slice of the $882,360 prize pool. His victory came with a $121,854 payout and his maiden bracelet, another feather in the cap of the American poker pro who already has a WSOP Circuit ring under his name.

Final Table Results

Event #5: $400 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max attracted some of the biggest names in the game, including Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu, Shaun “fortnite” Deeb and Ethan “rampunts” Yau, all of whom cashed in the tournament but failed to reach the final table.

Phil “Lumestackin” Hellmuth, Justin “Jsaliba2” Saliba, Joseph “blueberry” Cheong, and Jamie “JamieGold” Gold also took a shot but left the table empty-handed.

Just eight players remained for the final battle, and the first to be eliminated was American player Derek “ifeedurfam” Bowers who finished in 8th place for $15,177. Next to go was Taiwan’s Pete “PeteChen” Chen who busted in 7th place with $20,030 in winnings.

Brad “MrMonkeyBear” Owen, who finished 4th at the World Poker Tour Gardens Poker Championship Main Event three weeks ago, enjoyed another deep run, claiming the 6th spot in the $400 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max online event for $26,736.

Eliminated next was Safiya “Player2021” Umerova who finished in 5th place for $35,824. Tyler “bummer” Karmel busted in 4th place for $48,442, followed by Michael “miguelfiesta” Lech who took home $65,383 for finishing 3rd.

Dream Come True

Belyalovsky faced Joseph “Kolebear” Hebert in a heads-up match that lasted 24 minutes. The eventual winner was behind in chips when the one-on-one battle kicked off, but he was able to overtake his opponent with a pair of aces.

A top pair in the final hand did the job for Belyalovsky, defeating Hebert’s middle pair and straight draw. Hebert settled for second place for $88,942.

During his post-win interview, Belyalovsky said winning the coveted bracelet is a dream come true for him. He came close to winning one in 2022 when he finished runner-up in another $400 No-Limit Hold’em online event for $36,231.
