The Third Coolbet Open Will Return To Tallinn Next Month

The third edition of the Coolbet Open will once again be held at the Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Tallinn Park in Tallinn, Estonia. Taking place from May 7-12, the upcoming festival will feature 33 events, boasting its biggest schedule to date.

The inaugural Coolbet Open took place in May 2018 and was positively received by poker players. The tournament was a mix of competition and fun, with players taking part in 27 events spread across a five-day festival.

Finnish pro Sebastian Wahl earned the title as the first-ever Coolbet Open Main Event champion. He topped a field of 435 players to take home the first-place prize of €50,100.

With the first Coolbet Open being hugely successful, the number of events slated for its second edition in October 2018 was increased to 31. The record-breaking Main Event was won by Mats Albertsen of Norway, who walked away with €60,510.

Third Coolbet Open Schedule

The upcoming tournament will feature affordable buy-ins, starting with freebuys which have €0 – €20 entry fee, all the way up to €1,100 for Coolbet Six-Max which happens on May 11. Two new events are added to the schedule: a €60 buy-in Short Deck Hold’em taking place on May 11, as well as the €220 Drawmaha Championships on May 9. The latter will be hosted in partnership with Poker Event Sweden.

The first day of the tournament (May 7) will see four events taking place: A Freebuy Satellite to the Coolbet Opening Event with seven seats guaranteed; €20 buy-in One Hand Flip to Coolbet Opening Event; €220 Coolbet WarmUp Event; and a Freebuy Satellite to the Main Event, guaranteeing 10 seats.

Players may also get in on the action at the €330 Coolbet NLHE Deepstack Championship, taking place on May 8 and 9. Omaha fans can take part in a Pot Limit Omaha event happening on May 9, with a buy-in of €220.

Other side events include a Coolbet Open Turbo taking place on May 8 and 9, with a €60 and €110 buy-in respectively. There will also be a €220 5 Card Pot Limit Omaha Freezeout, a €110 Midnight Bounty Turbo Freezeout, as well as a €110 Coolbet Open Deep Special, all scheduled for May 10.

Coolbet Open Main Event

The €550 Coolbet Open Main Event will kick off on May 8, running through May 11. There will be two starting flights on May 8 and 9, and players will begin with 30,000 in chips, played in 45-minute blind levels. It will adopt a deepstack format. Unlimited reentries are allowed, giving players bigger chances of building a stack. The final day of the Main Event will be live-streamed.
