Top Poker Players Head To Europe For WSOPE High Roller Events

The 2017 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) will take place from Oct 19 to Nov 10 at the popular King’s Casino in Rozvodov, Czech Republic.

The casino which is situated close to the German border has the biggest poker room in Europe and regularly hosts some of the top poker tournaments in the world.

The 2017 WSOPE will attract poker players from across the world because the three week poker festival has 11 WSOP gold bracelet events, millions of dollars in guaranteed prize money and cash game festivals spread over the three weeks.

The highlights of this poker festival will undoubtedly be the €10,350 WSOPE Main Event and the €111,000 WSOPE High Roller for One Drop event.

The €10,350 WSOPE Main Event will run from November 4 to 10 and comes with a €5 million guarantee. There will also be a number of exciting poker events such as the Colossus No-Limit Hold'em which has a €550 buy-in and €2,000,000 guarantee; No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack which has a €1,100 buy-in and a €500,000 guarantee and a Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold’em which comes with a €1,100 buy-in and a €500,000 guarantee.

The event that will create the most buzz will definitely be the €111,000 WSOPE High Roller for One Drop event which takes place from Nov 3 to 5. This high roller event comes with a €10 million guarantee and players with start out with 2 million in chips. Blinds will go up every 60 minutes and players will be able to register late or re-enter an unlimited number of times till they come to the end of Level 2 or the third blind level on Day 2.

King’s Casino had to limit the number of seats to 111 for the High Roller for One Drop event and Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of King’s Casino decided to give up his seat because the demand for event was huge. Top poker players such as Fedor Holz, Tony G, Antonio Esfandiari, Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, Liv Boeree and Phil Hellmuth have confirmed their participation. Kings Casino will give away €11,111 rake from every player’s initial buy-in minus taxes to the One Drop Foundation.

The last High Roller for One Drop event which was held in Las Vegas was won by Doug Polk who beat 129 players and received $3,686,865 in prize money.
