The schedule for this year’s Triton Poker Super High Roller Series has been finally released. The popular high stakes tournament will hold its first event at the Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World in South Korea from March 2 to 9 after successfully hosting the Triton Poker Series last year.
The world’s most popular high rollers along with wealthy amateur poker players will come face to face across six events promising 8 days of intense action.
The 2019 schedule comes with a few changes that players will want to keep in mind. The HKD 100,000 Short-Deck has been dropped and replaced by an HKD 250,000 version. New events slated for this year include an HKD 250,000 + HKD 250,000 Short-Deck Bounty as well as an HKD 1,000,000 No-Limit Hold’em event.
The series kicks off with Day 1 of the HKD 250K buy-in Short Deck event on March 2, Saturday at 4:00pm. Day 2 of the event happens on March 3, Sunday at 2:00pm. During the same day, Day 1 of Event #2: Short-Deck Bounty will take place, carrying a buy-in of HKD 250k + 250K. Survivors come back on Day 2, March 4 at 2:00pm.

Players can also take part in Event #3: 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em happening on March 4-5. It features a buy-in of HKD 500K. High rollers shouldn’t miss the action on March 5-6 as Event #5 – HKD 1Million Short Deck takes place. An NLH Triton Refresh with a buy-in of HKD 1 Million also happens on March 8-9.
The Main Event begins on March 7, with the winner to be announced on the final day, March 9. This year’s Main Event features the same HKD 2 Million buy-in and is expected to attract famous high-stakes players like Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey.
Last year, Mikita Badziakouski took down the Triton SHR Series Main Event for $5,257,027 while Kenneth Kee bested 60 players in the HKD 1,000,000 Short-Deck event, taking home the top prize of $2,867,009. David Peters emerged victorious in the No-Limit Hold’em Six-Max, earning $1,118.484.
Players who take part in the Main Event can avail free accommodation for nine nights, provided they also play in any other event at the Triton Poker festival. The Triton team is expected to bring the series live on the TV screens of thousands of poker fans and spectators at home who also want to be a part of the high-roller action.
