Summary
Unibet Poker has announced a weekly leaderboard race that will award €100,000 in extra prizes over the next couple of months.
The operator is running the leaderboards to mark the rollout of its revamped MTT schedule which now features bigger guarantees but lower rake. The new changes have been implemented based on feedback from Unibet Poker’s loyal customers and were designed to benefit recreational players.
Apart from enjoying the new exciting features of the revamped MTT schedule, real money poker players on Unibet Poker get the chance to win extra prizes through weekly leaderboards running at the site. A total of €100,000 in prizes will be awarded across three leaderboards running until January 1, 2023.
The Low leaderboard covers MTTs with buy-ins of €5 and €10, while the High leaderboard is designated for tournaments with entry fees of €25-€100. There’s €2,500 on offer each week in the Low leaderboard, while the High version pays out €6,000 weekly. In addition to that, Unibet Poker will run an overall leaderboard with €1,500 awarded to the winner.
The points are calculated based on the size of the field, the buy-in, and the player’s finishing position. The Low leaderboard will award prizes of between €10 and €500, while in the High leaderboard you can win at least €50, all the way up to €1,000 if you finish at the top.
Unibet Poker will tally your best 10 results for the Low leaderboard, and your best eight results for the high. To determine the winner of the overall leaderboard, the operator will consider each player’s best 20 results.
The updated MTT schedule represents the biggest change Unibet Poker has introduced to its tournament schedule in years. The revamped schedule now boasts guarantees of €4,000, €5,000, €6,000, and €10,000 available daily, with the operator looking to add more if the current tournaments gain enough support from players.
Probably the most interesting aspect of Unibet Poker’s revamped schedule is that players will now enjoy lower rake across all MTTs. The site’s bounty tournaments, for instance, only charge between 4.5% and 4.8%, lower than any other online poker room.
Additionally, Unibet Poker also adjusted the schedule of its daily majors so that casual players will still have enough sleep before going to work the next day. The operator also reduced the number of tournaments with the “add-on” feature which is good news for recreational players.
