World Poker Tour Confirms Tour Stops And Dates For Season XVII

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Season XVII will commence in July with the WPT Gardens Poker Festival and a total of eight stops are scheduled to take place all over the country in 2018.

Season XVI has just come to a close, with Art Papazyan winning WPT Player of the Year and Darren Elias winning his record 4th WPT title. The last season was intense and thousands of poker lovers watched the WPT’s televised final tables at the eSports Arena Las Vegas. The WPT is now ready to launch Season XVII which is expected to be bigger and better.

We held our first-ever stops in Beijing, Japan, and South America, returned a televised WPT Main Tour event to Europe, and broke ground in the burgeoning region of India…As the WPT closes out a historic 16th season, the World Poker Tour is proud to announce the 2018 leg of the Season XVII schedule

Season XVII Tour Stops

Eight stops are scheduled for the WPT Season XVII from July to December 2018, which will start with the WPT Gardens Poker Festival at The Gardens Casino on July 21 which will then be followed by the WPT Choctaw at the Choctaw Casino Resort from August 3 to 7 and then the WPT500 Los Angeles stop will start on August 18 at the The Bicycle Hotel & Casino.

The WPT Borgata Poker Open, WPT Maryland at Live! Casino, WPT bestbest Bounty Scramble, and WPT Seminole Rock N Roll Poker Open are scheduled to take place from September to November. To see the full schedule with the confirmed dates, please go to the official WPT website.

WPT culminates the year with the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic which will be held at the Bellagio. The highlight of this event will be the $10,400 Main Event on December 10 to 15. Last year’s WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic was a huge success, pooling in more than $7.8 million for the Main Event from the 812 entrants.

At the end of the 6-day tournament and a televised final table, Ryan Tosoc walked away victorious with a cheque for $1,958,065. The second and third placers went home with a nice bankroll as well, with Alex Foxen winning $1,134,202 in second place and Mike Del Vecchio getting $752,196 for placing third.
