The global poker community is taking things slow as we come to the end of 2018. However, there is going to be an action packed 2019 as January is packed with a number of exciting poker tournaments that are being held around the world.
The World Poker Tour (WPT) will start 2019 with its WPT Russia stop will be take place at Sochi Casino from January 18 – 27. The festival’s schedule includes seven events with some attractive prizes prizes. Poker players have the opportunity to win their share of a guaranteed prize pool which is the equivalent of $2.8 million.

The highlight of WPT Russia will be its Main Event with a guaranteed prize of $1.4 million. The event will have two online first days on partypoker. Alternatively, players can participate in three live first days at Sochi Casino.
Some of the other most important events of WPT Russia are its High Roller tournament with a buy-in of 618,000 (roubles), the WPT DeepStacks which has a guarantee of 30 million (roubles) and the WPT Ladies Event which has a buy-in of 13,200 (roubles), and a 3 million (roubles) guaranteed PL Omaha tournament with a buy-in of 66,000 (roubles).
