The World Poker Tour (WPT) has added more stops to its 2024 schedule, with multiple events confirmed in the US, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia. All in all, there are a total of 12 stops announced so far in what is expected to be another exciting, action-packed season.
Season XXII of the WPT kicks off with an event in Cambodia. The festival takes place at NagaWorld in Phnom Penh from January 17-30. WPT Cambodia will be headlined by a $3,500 Championship event which gets underway on January 25.
WPT Cambodia will be followed by a pair of stops in Europe – WPT Prime Aix-en-Provence in France (January 26 – February 5 at Pasino Grand) and WPT Prime Amsterdam in the Netherlands (March 15-23 at Holland Casino). Both festivals will feature a €1,100 ($1,199) Main Event.
The first US stop of the upcoming season happens in March, with the WPT returning to the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in California. WPT Rolling Thunder runs from March 7 – 26 and culminates in the $3,500 Main Event which kicks off on March 23.
Also in March, the WPT, for the first time ever, embarks on a poker adventure aboard Virgin Voyages’ ship, “Valiant Lady“. Players can look forward to two overlapping events aboard the cruise ship – the WPT Voyage and WPT Prime Voyage. The ship departs from the Port of Miami on March 31 and returns on April 6. Both festivals feature a Main Event, with a buy-in of $1,100 (WPT Voyage) and $5,000 (WPT Prime Voyage). The Main Events get underway on March 31.
The tour then heads over to Card Casino Bratislava in Slovakia for WPT Prime Slovakia, with the €1,100 ($1,199) Main Event kicking off on April 11.
The WPT visits The Star Gold Coast in Australia for WPT Prime Gold Coast (AU$2,000 Main Event scheduled for April 18), before returning to the US to host two events – WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood (headlined by $3,500 Main Event on April 19) and WPT Choctaw at Choctaw Casino Resort (headlined by $3,800 Main Event on May 3).
The last two confirmed stops for the first half of 2023 are WPT Prime Vietnam and WPT Prime Sanremo. WPT Prime Vietnam takes place at Crown Poker Club in Hanoi, with a ₫25,000,000 ($1,062) Main Event scheduled for May 23. WPT Prime Sanremo, which runs at Casino di Sanremo, also features a €1,100 ($1,199) Main Event which kicks off on June 6.
