WSOP Announces Inaugural $50M GTD “WSOP Paradise” in the Bahamas

Real money poker players across the globe will have more opportunities to win gold bracelets this year, thanks to a brand-new festival that will be hosted by the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Bahamas in December, in partnership with GGPoker.

Inaugural WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas

Running from December 3-14, the inaugural “WSOP Paradise” will take place at the Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The WSOP and GGPoker are joining forces for the massive series which will feature 15 gold bracelet events.

The full schedule has yet to be released, but based on a promotional video fronted by no other than Daniel Negreanu and recently posted by the WSOP on Twitter, the festival will include multiple high-stakes events with buy-ins of $25,000, $50,000, and $100,000, making it an “amazing series for high rollers”.

The schedule will also include events with buy-ins as low as $1,000, with the series culminating in a $5,000 Main Event which comes with a huge $15 million guarantee. Other confirmed events include a $25,000 GG Million$, a pair of pot-limit Omaha tournaments, and a $1,500 Mystery Bounty.

All in all, WSOP Paradise will award $50 million in guaranteed prize money, according to the WSOP’s Twitter post.

The announcement comes as the 2023 WSOP live festival in Las Vegas concludes with record-breaking numbers. The Main Event broke its own record this year after attracting the biggest field ever of 10,043 entries, creating $93,399,900 in total prize pool. The tournament was won by Daniel Weinman for $12,100,000.

Bracelet Hunt Continues

After Las Vegas, the bracelet fever continues in Rozvadov, Czech Republic which will play host to WSOP Europe from October 25 to November 16. The festival will also award 15 gold bracelets.

Now, with the announcement of WSOP Paradise, players will extend their bracelet hunt to December, and among the big names expected to turn up is Negreanu himself who hasn’t won a bracelet since 2013. The Poker Hall of Famer and GGPoker Ambassador is looking forward to an absolutely amazing experience at one of the world’s most luxurious resorts.
